What Is Included In The Price Of A Walking Point Holiday: All Walking Point Holidays are guided and so the price includes the services of an experienced leader who is trained both in map/compass to National Navigation Scheme Bronze standard and in first aid. The price also includes the use of transport between the base town for the holiday and the start and finish of each day’s walk.

Note: No adjustment can be made to the price of a holiday due to late arrival, early departure or should you decide not to walk on certain days.

Accommodation: Accommodation is not included in the price of the holiday.

Adverse Weather Conditions: In the event of adverse weather conditions and again in the interests of safety, it may be necessary to alter the planned route of a walk. This would especially apply to coastal paths.

Personal Injury: Whilst taking every care for the well being and safety of the group, Walking Point cannot be held to be responsible for any personal injury that may occur to a member of the group during the course of the holiday.

Personal Fitness (IMPORTANT): We will be walking long distances every day and so you will need to be fit and used to walking all day. All the holidays will be fairly strenuous and all will have some hill walking. The Somerset & North Devon Coast and Country holiday in particular will involve some steep ascents and descents.

Cancellation Of A Walking Point Holiday By You: Any cancellation should be made in writing and will be effective from the date received. Should you cancel your booking prior to 14 days before the commencement of the holiday all monies will be reimbursed to you. Should you cancel your booking 14 days or less before the commencement of the holiday reimbursement of monies paid will not become payable. In the event of a cancellation, should you wish to book an alternative holiday for 2008 that is more convenient to you then a transfer can be made for your funds to be made in favour of the new booking.

Cancellation Of A Holiday By Walking Point: In the event that there are fewer than 4 people booked onto a holiday, Walking Point reserves the right to cancel the holiday up to 4 weeks prior to the commencement of the holiday. You will have the option to transfer to another holiday without charge, or receive a prompt refund of all monies paid.

In the event that the walk leader is unable to lead your holiday due to injury/illness and we are unable to engage an experienced replacement leader, we reserve the right to cancel the holiday. This decision will be made in the interests of safety for the walking group. Again you will have the option to transfer to another holiday without charge, or receive a prompt refund of all monies paid.

Booking Procedure: Please complete the postal Booking Form and forward it to the address stated below together with your cheque for the full amount. (The amount due for each holiday is £165 per person). Cheques should be made payable to ‘Venetia Hamblin’. Please fill in the name and address of all persons that wish to be included in the holiday.

Once your Booking Form and cheque have been received a receipted invoice, together with a list of guesthouses and hotels situated within the area of the base town for your walking holiday will be sent to you. A map showing the daily morning group meeting point will also be sent.

Medication: Please state on the reverse of the Booking Form whether you are currently on any form of medication or are aware of a medical condition when due to unforeseen circumstances that may arise during the walking holiday, the leader may need to be aware of. All information treated in strict confidence.
